Yes. Gold Star Driving School is a Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) approved Beginner Driver Education (BDE) course provider. Completing an MTO approved course qualifies students for a car insurance discount.
What is included in the MTO BDE course?
The MTO approved BDE course includes 20 hours of in-class or online theory, 10 hours of Homelinks (homework), and in-car practical lessons (10, 11, or 15 hours depending on the package). Topics include advanced intersection techniques, defensive driving, and road test preparation.
Does Gold Star Driving School offer free pick-up and drop-off?
Yes. Free pick-up and drop-off is provided for all in-car practical driving lessons across all BDE packages.
Can I use the instructor's car for my road test?
Yes. Package 2 and Package 3 include the use of the instructor's car for the local road test, along with road test booking assistance.
